Carving in to the clay...

I have a special order for a ring in which leaves & leaves could be later oxidized. I will post the finished ring, as is is in the kiln at this time. After drawing the lines with a pencil, I first scored the clay, then repeatedly worked the lines into the clay. Later, with a very small paint brush and water, cleaned up  the lines. Many, many incisions later, the lines were formed. I used the new Japanese ring maker for the form.  If anyone has more information on using the ring maker--please let me know!
