[caption id="attachment_812" align="aligncenter" width="378" caption="Revamping my booth"][/caption] First, I have to apologize for not creating another post to remind folks I would be showing my work at the Castle Rock Artfest this past weekend. It seems, no matter what, I leave out one detail in my busy life! It was a fun show, I met lots of new people who enjoyed my work, met great artists as well. We had perfect weather, not too hot, plenty of sunshine and little wind. I gave out quite a few business cards and reminded customers that often my blog is more current than my website. I did update my summer schedule on the website, and soon will have new images posted, and my fall schedule as well.
My booth is getting a makeover and I just found these back panels to add some interest to the booth instead of the white walls of my tent. I like the look, it seems to soften everything. I did get new tables which are working really well, and the last detail will be to make more interesting jewelry displays and add a pop of color. For me, booth design has been an evolving process and it seems that may be a niche for someone out there--especially designing booths for jewelers! My color scheme is black and tan and I think I need one bright color to pop. I had a new banner made for the top of my tent, and several photos enlarged. As with life and art, a work in progress!
The fall will be busy, as I'm getting ready for upcoming jewelry shows and making some pottery for the Colorado Potters Fall Show & Sale, November 4, 5 & 6. I will also be featuring my metal clay jewelry at that show.
I had such a fun summer, I am so lucky to have been able to attend the Bead & Button show in Milwaukee and the PMC conference in Indiana. And my summer art show schedule had 3 new shows, and an easier schedule. I just started working on a ring series, and I want to set some of the many stones I've been collecting. And believe it or not I need to get back to work at my torch and work on some glass. I'm hoping to post more on my blog now that fall is approaching. Yikes, BTW!
